FP Summer Camp 2022

①FP UNIVERSE:  July 11-15, 2020 (daycamp)($625)

What if you could capture the wonders of the universe and enjoy them here on Earth?  At FP Universe you can!  Campers will harness the power of the sun to fly balloons and cook s’mores.  We'll turn the Bay Area into our own personal universe to explore, setting up basecamps and shining our FP sunlight on everyone we meet.  Join us as we build our FP Universe, discovering how we are all connected and recognizing ourselves as stars, sharing our energy with our individual solar systems.  Add your light to our FP Universe! 

 

Location:  Based in San Mateo 

                    (with day trips around the Bay Area)

Grades:     Entering 1-7 (20 participants)

COVIDAll campers and staff are required to be fully vaccinated

Schedule: 9:00am-3:30pm, M-F 

Planned Activities:

Campers will enjoy Feelosophy 101, group games and

challenges, kid-driven adventures, figuring out what to do when they

don't know what to do, flying solar balloons, building basecamps,

making sun prints, creating solar cookers, navigating public transit

sharing joy with people around town, becoming an FP star!

②FP WORLD:  July 18-22, 2020 (with 4 overnights)($775)

If you could build a civilization from scratch, what would it look like?  What values would inspire you?  What food would you eat?!?  On this year’s overnight camping adventure, we'll travel to Indian Grinding Rock State Park, camp in historic bark houses at the U'macha'tam'ma' site, and enjoy a week of exploration and imagination.  A chance for unstructured time in nature, creating community in the process.  Fresh air and friendships included.  Add your tent to our FP WORLD!

Location: Camping in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada 

Grades: Entering grades 2-7 (20 participants)

COVID: All campers and staff are required to be fully vaccinated

Schedule:  Leaving Monday(9a) from San Mateo, returning Friday(3p)

Planned Activities:

Team building and Feelosophy 101

Hiking adventures and purifying water

Learning bushcraft techniques

Building your camping skills toolkit

Creating parallel world stories: who will you become?

Building campfires and roasting s'mores

Using nature to create our own FP World!

FP Leadership Program: July 11-15 ($525) and July 18-22 ($675)

Available to incoming 8th and 9th graders (and beyond!), who have previously

participated in an FP program, the FP Leadership Program gives your child the

opportunity to transition from camper to counselor.  They will work as part of a group

to design and deliver unique and inspiring camp experiences.  These young adults get

to participate in our summer camps while also taking on the roles and responsibilities

of a junior counselor.  The program includes mentoring, opportunities for reflection

and growth, and a focus on developing your individual leadership style. Come Join
